DENTIST - TWIN FALLS, ID

Financing

Insurance has changed dramatically over the years. In 1965, only 2 million people had dental insurance. Today, dental insurance is a fringe benefit offered by employers to more than 33 million people.

Many people are making decisions about their dental health and tailoring their care around their dental plan. Sometimes, instead of helping, this dependence on insurance prevents them from getting the care they need, complicates existing problems, and ends up costing people more money and time in our dental chair.

To prevent this from happening, we would like to offer a few guidelines when it comes to dealing with your insurance.

Dental insurance is designed to help you pay for the services you need.

Many patients are under the impression that insurance will cover 80% to 100% of their fees. In reality, most dental plans cover 40% to 50% of an average fee. That’s because insurance is designed to make extensive dentistry more affordable for you, not cover your entire costs. Be warned that insurance companies may tell you a standard service is “above the usual and customary.”

The insurance companies may tell you that a service is not necessary when it really is. In fact, some preventive procedures are not covered by insurance companies at all. If this happens, talk to us. We can suggest financing options to help you.

Financing

Even if you think you know your benefits, read your policy.

Before you visit us, review your policy so you’ll be aware of any limitation of your benefits. Many patients are surprised to learn what’s not covered by their insurance carriers.

After your visit, we accept most insurance plans. We’ll even fill out the forms and submit the claims as a service to you.

Additional Financial Options

Payment is due at the time of service and you can pay for any amount not covered by your insurance plan with cash, check, or major credit card. If the amount your insurance doesn’t cover is still high, our practice can arranging for low-interest financing through CareCredit and Capital One Healthcare Finance to help you off-set the cost.

When I was staying with my Uncle J, we were always looking for the best dentist in Twin Falls. We came to Green Acres Family Dental and were treated with kindness and compassion with all of his dental services (and he definitely needed a lot). Every time he calls me, he brings up this dental practice and how he will always choose and return to these dentists in Twin Falls. Thank you for treating his dental needs!!
